TORNADO touch down in Park Rapids and Emmaville

Just less than 2 miles from Sleeping Fawn a tornado touched down. The Tornado started along Hubbard just after 9 am headed north through Park Rapids and north up county rd 4 to Emmaville and toward Lake George. Multiple houses are with damage and many trees lost. No destruction to the resort to report. Most damage is out of main road viewing range, unsure of any fatalities or injuries at this time.
Emmaville was turned into a command post for rescue vehicles. I was able to capture a few photos of the crew. All areas of damage was closed off to public.

Lake ice out update May 1st

The ice is out! Strong winds out of the North broke up the ice rapidly. Now off to paint the docks and put new wheels on before launching.

Lake ice out update April 30th

snow is close to gone, now just need to get rid of the ice! The loons are active already. I spotted 5 adult loons on the North end of the lake here.

Lake ice out update April 28

snow is melting along with the ice. We ended up with 16" of heavy snow snapping limbs and smaller trees.
