As some may know we are going backwards now , we are currently sitting on 14" of fresh snow that fell over night and it continues to snow, here are some photos of the conditions of ice and grounds at Sleeping Fawn.

Lake update- ice

Its that time of year- or is it? normaly the ice is out no later than April 20, but not this year, thanks to our massive snow storms that occured a week and a half ago, we ended up with 3.5- 4 ft of snow from back to back storms. I dont have photos of the storm to share as I was out on vacation in Texas, whew. We did lose a few small trees and quite a few limbs from the heavy snow, some light dammage to house and lots of problems for the plows getting stuck but over all it was a much needed watering for us. I do have pictures I took tonight before dusk of the lake ice progress. We intend to get rain all week, so the melting will go fast, i will do daily updates to the ice out till gone....keep an eye on the blog daily to see the changes.
