The great wall of zz fawn

Over the weekend of May 18th-20, my friends Shawn and Tiffany came up from Mpls to work on phase two of the zz fawn rock wall. I was not around to help them with this project as I was in Fargo for the half Marathon, photos to come soon on that. I have a few photos sent to me from Shawn and Tiffany, I think it looks great, and I think Shawn and Tiffany enjoy doing this. Not sure why.

talk about crazy...maybe?

This is Sharon, one of our active RV seasonals. She was up for the weekend cleaning out the camper and raking up the yard to her lake home.

Then Sharon decided to cool off after all the yard work and camper cleaning , she decided to take a dip in the lake, the lake was just 66 degrees,Sharon said it felt good and was cooled off, little to cold for me.

fishing opener

Here is just a glimpse of a few northerns caught this weekend. Dan from Long Prairie, MN landed these 3 beauties ranging from 3 lbs to 8 lbs on Saturday, along with a few others. This group overall did pretty well with lots of crappie and sunfish although quite small in size and a few more Northern a bit to small to show off for the camera as well.
And talk about a great weekend weather wise, partly cloudy to mostly sunny, warm pleasant, calm winds most of the time and cool nights making for great sleeping conditions.

Spring progress

Things are coming along here. I now have water to all of the resort, with no leaks , I pulled the golf cart and riding lawn mower out of storage today, not sure when I will need to mow, its extremely dry here. I did manage to groom the beach, pulled the beds in the bedrooms of a couple cabins as mom (Ellen) and her sister Pat will be shampooing the carpet and washing/murphy oil all the knotty pine walls, ect.

I will be placing the floating raft out this weekend, doing some major grounds cleanup and renting a chipper next week.

There are a few guests arriving for open fishing weekend, I'll give a report of how they do as well.
fyi- 2 wood ticks so far, thats what I get for roaming in the brush.
