ice is out!

As of Saturday, April 21, the ice finaly melted away. I think the rain helped move that process along....next week the docks go in the water. Spring is here!

I am a day late getting the phots on this blog, the photos were taken April 20th....I have a feeling the lake will completely open on April 21, we shall see.

Yeah- do you beleive we still have almost a full freeze over on the lake?

I took a mini vacation before the big season here at Sleeping Fawn, my buddy Chris and I flew to Chicago for the weekend, took in a Cubs game, explored the millenium park, and hit the bars...here are a few pics from that trip. enjoy

crazy busy part 2

next....the house. I have been slowly showing some progress on the living quarters here. I was able to get my friend Dave Geist up here to help me frame up some walls, and such. I have a few pictures but not the best quality.

Btw- I mentioned the nice 70 degree temps in late March, well we just got socked with 9" of fresh snow yesterday. I was going to start raking but I guess thats on hold. Part of living in MN I guess.

crazy busy, part 1

Yeah i know I have been slacking in my Blog. Well its catch up time, so here you go.

first off, I voluntered at a womens sports and recreation expo in Mpls in late March. The event kinda flopped mainly due to mild weather with temps in the mid 70's to upper 80's, thats just crazy for March.
